The house got plastered...

Look! Our house has Chicken Pox!

Nah, just kidding (really, Willie?!!). Yesterday the plastering of every screw, corner and join began in prepapration for the wall paper (which is apparently being done today, so watch this space for an afternoon edition of The Ogura Mansion!). The photo above is our bedroom.

Looking towards the kitchen.

Kitchen and storage cupboard.

Storage cupboard and dining/living room.

Every corner has this strong plastic tape put on before plastering.

My study - the shelves have been temporarily removed for plastering and wallpapering.

Looking up the stairwell.
Looking from Ben's room, across the free space, into our room. Chickenpoxarama.

The living room. It was such a dark, rainy day yesterday.

Mr Plasterer.
The shelves inside the kitchen back cupboards have also been added.

No way! Space!!!

The plumbers have also started putting in pipes for the sinks.

Mr Plumber.

I like it! We should leave it just like that.
So now I will pop up to the house with some little cakes for the builders and check out where they're at, before heading down to the annual Beppu Agricultural Festival - this year includes a whole heap of Open Gardens at houses all over Beppu. There will be plenty to talk about later tonight (as I make up for the fact that I can't go to Beppu's gig of the year tonight - DON'T MENTION THE GIG!).
